My four year old lab does this thing where he just stands in front of me and stares. We're just back from a long walk and he's had his dinner. He doesn't need the loo and he doesn't want to come up on the sofa to snuggle. He just wants to stand and stare at me. He'll do it for literally hours if I let him. He's perfectly healthy and I just can't work out why he's doing it. It's really disconcerting! Any ideas?
Is this a new behaviour or something he has always done? If it's a new behaviour, I would pop him to the vet for a checkover, and yourself to the doctors for a check up too. If all is well, can you think of anything else that has changed recently, either in his/your routine, or environment? Even down to any new charges for electrical goods. One of my boys does this, but has done since he was 3 weeks old. Even if he's laid with my partner, he will still be staring at me. The only time he doesn't do it is went he's laid with me.
