Hi all, new fur baby mum in need of some advice, he's 8 weeks old and I'm totally in love... his feeding!!! He's on chapel farm kibble, he's been having it wet. He's not eating as much as he should. Do I stop soaking and introduce other meats and items into his diet? If not when do I do this? Want to do my very best by my boy. Help a mama out please. Thank you

Hi there. Has your pup just arrived home with you? If so, it's pretty normal for them to be off their food for the first couple of days. If it lasts more than a couple of days, it's worth checking in with your vet just in case - but usually as they settle in to their new home, appetite picks back up :)

We recommend sticking to the same food as the breeder gave for the first couple of weeks, as moving house can cause upset tummies! And then switching over gradually to your preferred food going forward.

Pippa's Happy Puppy Handbook is a great source of advice for your early puppy days! :)

He come home on Saturday, the first day he ate everything meal, the last couple of days he's only eating half or nothing at all. He's at the vet today, for his first vaccine so will speak to the vet today. Thank you for your reply
